My Mission

My mission is to help newspapers, local broadcast media, and their advertisers to more effectively market their business.

In today's changing media climate, local media like newspapers, radio and TV have faced tremendous challenges. The Internet has redefined local media and where people get their information.

I feel however that there is no entity better suited to help local business grow than local media. Local media has the trust of the local public, and has actual people in the communities who care about growing a strong local business community.

Local newspapers and media have been under attack, with many saying their best days are behing them. What few realize is that local media still commands a huge percentage of local eyeballs. Many local newspapers for example have larger total audience penetration today than they did 20 years ago before the internet was a factor.

The perception that local media is on a downward spiral combined with a lack of branding and public relations has allowed this perception to become a reality as far as advertising support.

What's needed is a concerted effort to change the perception. If local media can more effectively turn eyeballs into customers for local business than they can reestablish themselves as an essential source for local marketing.

What's I'm trying to accomplish is to help local media better position iitself as a key source for local marketing. I'll do this through:

Newspaper and Local Media Speaking

Sharing a vision for where local media needs to head to better position itself as the source for local markerting.

Newspaper and Media Sales Rep Training:

Training newspaper and media sales reps in the skills they need to better serve their advertisers. I teach them basic sales skills, but spend a lot of time teaching them how to be marketing professionals. I teach what I call "deep brain marketing" which is the science of how the human brain processes persuasive messages. Once marketing reps understand the basics of deep brain marketing they turn into amazingly effective sales people and ad designers that create marketing that consistently works!

New Video Content and Ideas:

I believe strongly that local media can benefit from producing its own marketing videos for local advertisers as well as working with media producers for tagable video content that provide local businesses the perfect venue to market their products.
